The Vent-Axia Sentinel is a high-performance, feature-rich whole-house heat recovery unit designed to supply fresh air, enhance climate control, and recover up to 94% of heat. It not only improves air quality but also conserves energy and reduces heating and ventilation costs.
The FH model is available in both right-hand (408167) and left-hand (408169) configurations. It includes a built-in digital controller for easy and accurate commissioning, plug-and-play wireless control, volt-free inputs, self-diagnosis for quick fault detection, and an adjustable delay timer.
As with all Vent-Axia products, the Sentinel is a robust and reliable unit. Its heat recovery cube is protected by two removable EU3 filters for easy maintenance. Ventilation is managed by two low-energy DC motor-driven fans, which ensure long life—typically more than twice that of AC motors—and extremely low energy consumption. The unit's housing is fully insulated and includes a built-in condensation drain.
The Sentinel Kinetic models comply with the latest Building Regulations Document F 2010 for whole-house ventilation systems, specifically System 4, which requires continuous mechanical supply and extract with heat recovery. All models feature three fully adjustable speeds and a purge setting. The front-mounted digital controller allows for presetting airflows to any desired level within the performance range.
The Sentinel Kinetic units can be installed vertically in a roof space, hallway cupboard, kitchen, or even within a kitchen cupboard. For unheated areas, both the unit and ducting should be insulated. Ducting can be attached horizontally, vertically, or both. The minimum internal depth for a kitchen cupboard installation is 290mm for the V, B, and BH models.
For added versatility, the unit offers left-hand (L) or right-hand (R) installation options. It is supplied with duct spigots configured for the right-hand side but can be easily reversed by rotating the unit 180 degrees and reattaching the control panel.
